We recognise that there is a need to work together to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities. There are approximately 384,000 people living in the Cheshire East area, which is a place of agriculture and industry, countryside, villages, market towns and urban centres. These communities are diverse, and each has distinct needs, assets and challenges. In addition, there are existing health and social inequalities across Cheshire East which need to be addressed.
We foresee that our population is likely to increase over the next few years, with more working age families moving into the area and the fact that generally, people are living longer. Demand for our services will increase and our health and care providers need to be ready to respond to these opportunities and challenges.
In early 2020, we published our Five-Year Plan which explains how our partners will work together to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
We have produced a video to give residents and our partners a visual representation of what we aim to achieve and the role we play by working together.
