What do I do if I suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation?

Children

If you have concerns about the safety of a child, whether it’s in the home, at school or in the community, do not ignore it. Call 999 in an emergency, otherwise contact:

If you are a child and want help or to talk to someone then Childline is a free, private and confidential service where you can talk about anything. You can call free on 0800 1111 or visit the Childline website.

Important update: Because of the coronavirus, Childline had to make some changes to how Childline works. For now, you can only speak to a Childline counsellor online or on the phone from 9am – midnight.
