Have you visited your GP practice website recently? Most GP practices in Cheshire now offer patients the opportunity to get in touch with the practice via an online triage tool.
eConsult offers patients whose symptoms are not medically urgent a wide range of self-help information including symptom checkers and useful videos. It also signposts to other local health services such as pharmacies and NHS 111.
In many cases eConsult can be used as an alternative to a traditional GP appointment or telephone consultation. Where a face-to-face appointment is required, consultations are more focused and efficient as GPs already have information about the patient’s complaint.
