Cheshire’s COVID-19 Response - Lessons Learned
10 July 2020

A survey of system partners about Cheshire’s collective response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) has found that strong collaborative working helped support the people of Cheshire in their time of need.
Out of necessity, decision-making, problem-solving and innovation was accelerated, including swift and significant changes to the way care was delivered in primary care, the community and hospitals.
Even stronger relationships were forged – including with the community sector – but it is vital to now better understand how COVID-19 has affected the people of Cheshire.
Health inequalities have widened as a result of the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on marginalised communities and vulnerable groups and COVID-19 has also had a significant impact on the wellbeing of health and care staff.
