National Day of Reflection 2022
21 March 2022
NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group will observe a minute’s silence at midday on March 23rd 2022 to mark the second annual National Day of Reflection.
On March 23rd 2020 the Prime Minister ordered UK citizens to stay at home when he announced the first lockdown.
Two years on, the National Day of Reflection provides an opportunity to show support and solidarity for all those affected by COVID-19.
Clare Watson, Accountable Officer of NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “In the last two years the people of Cheshire have made extraordinary sacrifices to help protect themselves and each other, while thousands of health and care workers have remained right on the frontline throughout the pandemic.
“Many of those same people have also supported Cheshire’s COVID-19 vaccination programme, which has now delivered more than 1.6 million vaccinations at GP practices, pharmacies, hospital hubs, mass vaccination centres, community centres, church halls and schools.
“Alongside health and care staff, I’d also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to our amazing volunteers who continue to give up their free time to play their part in Cheshire’s COVID-19 vaccination programme. Thank you.”
