NHS Cheshire CCG Attend Reaseheath Wellfest Event

Last week, representatives from the CCG attended the Wellfest event at Reaseheath College in Nantwich and joined an array of local businesses and organisations from across the area.

Wellfest was very much aimed at wellbeing and providing students with information on local services, how they can get involved in the community and how they can use self care to look after their health and wellbeing.

The team from the CCG included Leanne Hill, Community Engagement Manager and three of our graduate students, Harry Dee, Lucy Shiels and Charlotte Jackson. They spent the day meeting students and handing out literature on self care as well as sharing information on what to have in your medicine cabinet and showing students the self care guide on how to treat some minor ailments and how long to leave it before seeking treatment.

Another important part of the day was speaking to students about the COVID-19 vaccinations and signposting them to where they can receive this at the many local walk in clinics taking place across the area. The team gave out details of the times and dates of the clinics and the type of vaccines being offered.

It was a worthwhile day and gave our team the opportunity to engage with our local student community around the work of the CCG and the important messages on Self Care and the COVID-19 Vaccination program.
