Over 80s urged to contact GP if they’ve not received the COVID-19 jab
10 February 2021
A national drive has been launched to make sure that the last remaining groups of people, aged 70 and over, and those who are clinically extremely vulnerable get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Those aged over 70 who may not have yet booked an appointment are now being asked to contact the national booking service.
Local GP practices are keen that the most vulnerable – people aged over 80 – contact them directly as soon as possible, to book an appointment.
People who don’t fall within the first four priority groups are still being asked to patiently wait for an invite when they are eligible.
If someone has received two invites, one from the national booking service and another from your local GP or hospital, please only book one appointment to make sure space is available for others.
