Recruitment Underway for Class of 2022-23
30 December 2021
As part of its commitment to supporting the development of the next generation of health and care leaders, NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is recruiting five University students for placements in 2022-23 before their final year of study.
The undergraduate scheme has been a success since it was started by the former NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG in 2014-2015. Unlike many placement schemes, successful applicants are paid an entry-level salary and become truly embedded and immersed in work to ensure the people of Cheshire receive the best possible care.
The students play key roles in delivering the workload of NHS Cheshire CCG, resulting in a unique and irreplaceable experience at the heart of the NHS.
The placements expose students to a wide range of opportunities and provide invaluable skills and experience in all aspects of running the organisation, from daily business and commissioning of services to strategy and future planning.
The students will be given the opportunity to experience a range of areas within the NHS where relevant to their role, their personal development and future career aspirations.
Next year’s intake will build on an already successful scheme which currently sees four University students supporting the CCG’s work. It will be the role of the current students to manage the entire recruitment and induction process under the guidance of their line managers.
The five roles available in 2022-23 are:
- Communications and Engagement Support Officer
- Finance and Contracting Support Officer
- Quality and Safeguarding Support Officer
- Project Delivery Support Officer
- Healthcare Project Support Officer
