Grants available for local projects which help reduce health inequalities
Cheshire West and Cheshire East Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs), along with Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), are inviting organisations in the community sector to apply for grants, providing a big boost for projects helping to reduce health inequalities and achieve better outcomes for people in Cheshire.
£660,000 in total is available for local organisations, with applications closing on Friday 2nd July.
- address health inequalities in Cheshire West or Cheshire East
- improve access to local health services
- promote inclusion
There are two streams of funding available.
- Mental health support and interventions– applications are invited to focus on improving the mental health of people in Cheshire. Proposals should complement local support already in place (formal and informal support and services) and work with other organisations to direct people to more specialist support if needed.
- Health and wellbeing – applications are invited to address the health priority areas set out by the care communities in Cheshire (for example, diabetes, cardio vascular and respiratory conditions, improving children’s health). Similar to the mental health funding stream, proposals should complement local support already in place (formal and informal support and services) and work with other organisations to direct people to more specialist support if needed.
Creative and innovate approaches to addressing health inequalities and improving the health of people in Cheshire are encouraged, as are applications for projects to support and engage with groups or communities that may be less likely to access local health services, resulting in poor outcomes.
Applications are invited to cover either Cheshire West or Cheshire East, mirroring the local authority areas, and up to £30,000 is available over 18 months to support each project. If you want to provide a project covering the area of Cheshire, up to £55,000 is available. Funding will be available for projects from Friday 1 October.
