As part of the government’s commitment to improve the transparency of how public funds are used, central government is required to publish all expenditure over £25,000. HM Treasury has confirmed this requirement applies to all NHS bodies and as such the clinical commissioning group must publish all expenditure invoices over £25,000 on a monthly basis.
Salary payments to staff are excluded from the scope of these disclosures, as are any invoices that are protected under the Data Protection Act. As well as publishing this information on the clinical commissioning group’s website, this information is also published on the HM Government website: http://data.gov.uk
