Health and care staff across Cheshire and Merseyside are encouraged to be cyber savvy!

Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System’s (ICS’s) Cyber Security Group have launched their annual #BeCyberSavvy campaign, to help staff in health and social care settings across the region, to gain an understanding of the threat of cybercrime and the ways in which their actions can help or hinder these types of attacks.

Cyber security is of particular importance to health and social care staff, because as the healthcare we deliver transforms, so do the threats. This, coupled with the fact it is more likely that data breaches will originate from human error than a technical failure, is why this year’s campaign emphasizes that cyber security is everyone’s responsibility.

The core aspiration being that if we all play a part in implementing stronger security practices, raising community awareness, educating vulnerable audiences, or training employees, then our interconnected world will be safer and more resilient for everyone.
