Place Leads

The steps required to implement I CARE & Share are summarised below.

  1. Install the EMIS template (.xml) on GP EMIS systems
  2. Install the PCP (.ewdt) document on GP EMIS systems
  3. Local EOL lead: Test the EMIS template and document on local GP systems
  4. Present to practice leads and PCN
  5. Practices: Test template and document
  6. Practices: Integrate into internal GSF processes
  7. PCNs: Integrate into Care Home processes (DES)

It is likely that I-CARE & Share will be within the Cheshire and Merseyside General Practice Core Enhanced Scheme Offer 2025/26.
