NHS Cheshire and Merseyside social media accounts are:
Social media code of conduct:
Our social media accounts are monitored 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
NHS organisations use social media to engage with members of the public and other stakeholders and to share key messages around patient services and promote positive health and wellbeing.
Social media enables greater engagement with communities which might not be reached via traditional media such as newspapers and radio. It also facilitates two-way communication between service commissioners, providers and service users while enabling more effective engagement with younger people and seldom-heard groups.
Effective use of social media supports NHS Cheshire and Merseyside to discharge its duty to ensure that patients, carers and members of the public are involved, engaged, communicated with and consulted, particularly in relation to:
- Development and consideration of proposals for any changes in the way services are provided
- Any decisions affecting the operation of services

Please avoid posting personal information, either of your own or for other individuals. Any posts that include an email address, phone number, address or other personal information will be removed.
We reserve the right to remove comments in breach of the above guidelines and to block the users involved.
